View Video Tribute Thomas Henry "Bud" Pate, Jr., 87, of North Little Rock, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012. He was the owner operator of Pate Construction Company in Dyersburg, Tennessee. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Ray Richey of Maumelle; son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Debbie Pate of Little Rock; sister, Marie Hollingsworth of Dyersburg, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Michael Cupples (Danae), Jennifer Compton (Adam), Laura Wilson (David), Hank Pate, Jessyka Hanna (Tim), Jason Richey, Scott Richey and Ryan Richey and ten great-grandchildren. Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine (Brewer) Pate; parents, Thomas Henry and Eleanor Pate; and three sisters. Bud grew up in Dyersburg, Tennessee and moved to North Little Rock, Arkansas 9 years ago to be closer to his children and grandchildren. His last 3 years were spent at Foxridge Assisted Living with several loving caregivers. He served his country in the Army Air Corp, taught high school math and then settled into his life long career running his construction company. During his 87 years on this earth, Bud lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed flying his plane, gambling anywhere and most of all being with his wife of 60 years, Maxine, their kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. He will be greatly missed by the many, many family and friends who loved him dearly, but who will always be thankful for his long, blessed life. Kennedy Blvd, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel, 1921 Main, 758-1170.
